Moon Waves

A full moon, the fullest I have ever seen
A luminous near perfection.
And here a reflection of a life lived in two halfs
Of two worlds that enable one another
Two trains that diverge and separate.
Straddled, connected by a passenger,
Moving through lows and highs
Seeking the earth and the skies, a horizon alternate
The targeted average is the elusive station
The full moon is but a fly by night phenomenon
Reset every month.
The rhythm eternal, the moment ephemeral
The silvery mirage of integration
This finite divide of two worlds
Of parallel mirrors and endless reflections.

Any Given Full Moon

My rakhi is a fragrant one

Sky jasmine and a full moon sky

Scented memories of many rakhis gone by.

A moon lit sky

The stars have faded away, hidden and shy

A moon lit sea below in full tide

The silvery waves are the dancing stars tonight.

The full moon arrives to a time table

Our travels are never to a planned schedule.

How many full moons do I let you enjoy alone?

How many full moons shall I gaze alone?

The same night sky, the same moon

They build around us an invisible cocoon

Waxes and wanes, brigdes these schisms

This moon restores us our lost rhythms.

Playing God

Clouds chase each other

Uncover and cover the full moon

And reveal a moonlit fallen flower

I pick it up before it goes under

Marching feet of another walker

Or tyre of a passing car rolls over

For one more day, it shall bloom

I return to a postponed project

No more extensions,  submission tonight.
